| Sweetcake Philosophy No two cakes are created equal! I mean that, no two designs that leave my kitchen are alike. Each one has it's own distinct style and unique design that makes it so special. Using the freshest ingredients, results in a moist yummy cake no one can resist. My skilled artwork paired with my passion for baking ensures you a one-of-a-kind cake to top off your celebration! Basically, I am an artist and food is my media. |
| Why should I order a cake from Jenn's Sweetcakes? My cakes are special, no other way to say it! Although I take great pride in designing each special creation, the inside is just as important. Where else can you go to get a strawberry-banana cake with french vanilla mousse? My cakes don't sit in freezers for months, being hauled from a warehouse back East to a local grocery freezer. My business consists of only me, so you're guaranteed professionalism and a COOL cake! How far in advance should I place my order? No such thing as too early! Order early as possible to guarantee that your special cake can be created. In most cases, two weeks lead time is required for unique designs. On any given week, workload can vary, but give me a try and I just might be able to squeeze your order in. What I won't do: Dairy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, fat-free, sugar-free & egg-free. Sounds ridiculous, but I cannot promise quality with substitutions. Visit your local bakery that specializes in those particular items. Negotiate my price--my price is my price. The particular kinds of cakes I create are not ordered from a grocery store brochure or baked in shaped pans. Most cakes are carved and shaped to suit the particular design. My designs require research, planning and time. Cake prices are based by design time, labor and per serving. All cakes over $75 require a 50% non-refundable deposit. No changes can be made on orders one week prior to pick up date. **Cake design and construction is an art, not a science, and though all attempts will be made to create your cake in accordance with drawings and/or as close to what is discussed as possible, no guarantee is made that an exact replica will be achieved. **Cake servings sizes are estimated. Specialty cakes, carved cakes, method of slicing, and preparation may affect ultimate serving sizes. Customer understands and accepts these terms, and has ordered their products accordingly after having considered these variables. |
